YGC is a demand-led programme that prepares and connects youth entrepreneurs to real corporate opportunities and helps them deliver. The programme targets SMMEs at various stages of growth, allocating funding and support accordingly. For participants with confirmed corporate contracts, YES can enable access to funding to fulfil orders and scale delivery. Entrepreneurs also receive non-financial support, including training, mentorship, and access to corporate networks.

YES’s Unique Advantage

• We’re the world’s largest private sector–funded youth employment programme. YES has created 200,000+ quality work experiences supported by 1,898 corporate funders.
• Thousands of youth entrepreneurs have emerged from the programme. Over 28,000 YES alumni have started businesses.
• The YGC pilot proved successful: 310 entrepreneurs engaged; 250 trained; 60 received financial support and we’re now scaling to reach 1,000 young entrepreneurs.
• We have deep insight into corporate procurement gaps and the ability to plug youth-owned SMMEs into supply chains.
